PRP

What is PRP?

PRP(Platelet Rich Plasma) is a concentrate of platelets derived from blood. The platelets are rich in growth factors which help in clotting, cell growth and wound healing. PRP is used in the concerned areas for treating hair fall, allergies, bone and joint issues or wherever healing is required.

How does it work?

The growth factors in injected PRP help in facilitating cell growth of hair follicles resulting in hair growth.

Technique

Certain amount of blood is taken from the individual and its components are separated through process of centrifugation. The concentrate of platelets obtained is injected on the concerned area of the scalp.

During the process of injection, you might experience slight pain and and swelling. In most of the times, the pain and the swelling come down in a few hours and routine work can be resumed with a few instructions. Different measures are taken to minimise the pain and to make it comfortable through the procedure.

Side effects

There are usually no side effects for PRP as it is your own blood and its components.
